Synopsis

Enrique, a retired Guatemalan army general, stands trial for crimes against humanity committed decades earlier against Mayan communities. Though found guilty, the trial is annulled and he walks free. Back home, surrounded by protesters demanding justice, Enrique begins hearing a woman's cries at night. Soon after, Alma, a mysterious young woman, arrives to work as a housekeeper.
